It is very very unlikely you can sign up with a saving now as there is quite a hefty premium over the standard tariff.
The savings may come in the future if prices rise dramatically between now and 2012 and yours will remain the same.0 -

Standard tariff primary units= 7.563p, secondary = 3.814
Fixed 2012 tariff, primary 8.123p, secondary = 4.096
These figures are all available on the BG website.
And as Kimyeovil has said, when you compare the 2012 tariff with the online tariffs that's where the "hefty" comes in.0
