Signing On

Hi,

My son has today been for his Jobseekers interview some 10 miles away from home at the nearest Job centre however using public transport this cost him £7 return. He tells me he has to go in every Monday to sign on considering he was able to lodge his claim online why does he have to attend weekly to sign on costing him £7 in fares when surely he could do this online or indeed by post. Is there no facility for this, what about people that have no public transport facility?
It pays to challenge

I dont think there is any facility to sign on online but I do know that in some circumstances it is possible to sign on by post.

There is a JSA expert who posts on here, hopefully he will see your post and be able to give you a better answer.
