Just a bit of advice about MTU settings. MORE is WORSE. MTU stands for Maximum Transmission Unit and is the number of bytes per packet. So you set it to 1500 and it'll transfer 1500 bytes per packet. The problem is that if your ISP uses 1450, it'll be sending too many and the packet will become fragmented meaning that the information needs to be sent again.

Microsoft have screwed up quite bad and they even admit they made a howler after so many people got misled with earlier mtu errors.

Yes theres been some issues with people trying to login to LIVE and not being able to

xbox lives not down it just has some major problems,, the main one being you will get disconnected from xbxo live,, on testing your connection you will fail the "xbox live" part of the test, but then you can still log on ater you fail...
online you will struggle to find matches every now and then it will come up no matches found , message will claim they are being sent but they are ones you deleted...
its quite annoying,, but you have to options really and they are

either wait for it to be 100% finished
or
you just play and put up with the problems.
