Will perform equivalent to a 9800 or thereabouts, but at half the price:

It is a refurb, but I've had good experiences with retek in the past. There is also an all in wonder 9500 on there for about £60. Good graphics card and TV tuner.

Hi!
Apologies for being thick, but retek are selling the cards only. Some of them appear to have a video connector other than the standard 15 pin d-type, how easily / cheaply can the adaptor be acquired to plug my monitor in?
Thanks

Ahhh! That's what a DVI connector looks like :-)
Thanks

Does anyone know if this card is a "pro" version, as its not clear (to me) on the web site......obviously if its not, its not that good a deal !0
-
the pro version is 80 quid, which would imply this is the standard non-proWhat goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Tron_ADS - why is a non pro 9700 at £50 not a good deal??? For this amount of money you'd be lucky to get something that provides half as many FPS in UT2004:
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20041004/vga_charts-06.html
A similar cost (albeit new) graphics card on ebuyer would be the 9600se:
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=3252266229&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=56689
So either spend £50 and get 115.5fps or spend £50 and get 42.2fps. Am I missing something?
PLUS they're selling the Hercules prophet ones which should be pretty overclockable.0 -
Just for people in Northern Ireland, postage is 12 quid, so it's a bit less of a bargain, but still not bad.

i was only looking at tomshardware last night for a card replacement.( had a 9700pro die on me)
COD is a game i play all the time, so i looked at the list, The 9700 has just a 10% drop compared to the 9700pro.
Its good value in my opinion.
its considrably better than a 9600xt and they are £95 new from ebuyer.
I bought the 9700 and with delivery came in at £53.99
Excellent value0 -
Trouble with that place is the £7 delivery charge, 30 days warrenty and the small printAlthough you will have the option to insure your shipments, (common to business carriers.) It is STRONGLY advised that you carry separate inbound Insurance. Business carrier Insurance charge is £1.50/£100 of product value which cover for loss product and damages It is for this reason that we strongly suggest that you have Extra insurance to cover you for such a situation.
Does not inspire much confidence
If it was me I would pay a little more and get a card with a Full 1 year Warrantee0 -
was gonna get myself one, cant seem to see it on the site tho :-/0
