Thomas Cook Airlines are reconfiguring their Airbus A330-200 aircraft to give 33” seat pitch in economy. This gives unparalleled space and comfort on a direct flight to the west coast of Canada.

You can also be assured of the very latest comfort and amenities. Settle back in your seat and enjoy seat-back TV's in both Economy and TC Premium class, with the very best in-flight entertainment. This wide bodied twin aisle aircraft allows maximum comfort on a long haul trans-Atlantic flight.

Thomas Cook aircraft are listed as having a seat pitch of 30''. You may however be on one of the ex Mytravel A330's (the companies are merged). They are listed as having a seat pitch of 29-30''. The problem is you won't really know which one you'll be on until it turns up!. The Mytravel airframes also have an extra couple of seats in Premium Econ. You can buy the extra legroom seats in advance or at the airport (if available)

  • We flew out to Florida earlier this month with Thomas Cook - A330 -200
seat pitch was 33", all economy had seat back tv's. The seat pitches were changed in May of this year, this was the only reason we flew with them.

6' 5" is very tall - you may be better booking extra legroom seats - although you can get up and walk around, I frequently do.

We flew with Thomas Cook to the Caribbean in June this year. Going out the plane was fine and we felt we had plenty of room although my companion and I are both quite small and slim. We had seat back TVs.

Coming home was a different story. The plane seemed much more cramped and there was only overhead TVs. On this flight, all the loos were located down a spiral staircase so there was not even a spot you could stand to stretch your legs. It was a miserable flight.

Having said that, I am always miserable on the way home:rotfl:

It seems it is just a lottery as to which type of plane you may get. At well over 6 feet tall, I think you could well justify paying for extra leg room.
