need to read through the last few pages to catch up on how you are all doing.

Oh my goodness Stolt, you have had a weekend of it! I'm glad you've survived to tell the tale.

I've tried to check our your new blog but got the message "This blog is open to invited readers only".

By the way, how do you back up a blog - you've got me all worried now, I don't want to lose all my hard work.

yeah im sitting here with my finger killing, cant believe i was so stupid, a few inches and it could have took my finger clean off or gone into some tendons etc... argh not worth thinking about.... to back it up you need to go into, settings, blog tools, export blog (then export it to the desktop etc)

oh i was bit more careful about opening up this time and was only going to limit who can see it to avoid it becoming ruined by a hacker etc... i'll open it up again but will limit it again in a day or two i can pick who i want to see it by email address perhaps if anyone is interested they can pm there email address to me i can add it.

    thanks

Thanks Stolt. I've checked out your blog - looking good! The bird photos are super, the photo of your finger made me go all wobbly _pale_ , your DDs must love their princess bedrooms, especially the chandeliers.

Thanks for info on exporting the blog, I've done mine now although it doesn't seem to save the photos (unless I'm being thick which is not unusual where computers are concerned :rotfl: ). At least the bones of it are saved.

no probs, i was heartbroken when i kept clicking on mine and it was completely gone:eek: months of hard work down the drain, wasnt going to do another one but you forgot how much you change things, the little things. yeah the finger made me go wobbly at one stage i was layng on the kitchen floor freezing cold and feeling like i'm going to be sick, never had that feeling before.

Hi guys, I have been AWOL.
Started on the living room, which so far has been hell! Pulled down the old lath and plaster ceilings YUCK, to expose the beams, which will look lovely once they have all been sanded down, more yuck! Been striping the walls ready for them to be replastered, taken out the hideous 1930s fireplace and next job is to knock a wall down to go in to the hallway and create more space then install some oak posts as its a load bearing wall, I ache like nobodys buisness, more wall paper stripping today, and am off for a masssage! :rotfl:Have paid for gas to be installed, and am sorting out the plumber to get started, organised for the insalation of loft insulation for free, which is a bonus. :T
Hope all is ok with everyone.
    Pawpurrs x ;)

@stolt - Thats a cracking wound - have to say I was expecting a gory picture with lots of blood. Thought it looked very neat :) Sorry to hear about the blog.

We had a very quick meeting with the builders and are now seeking legal advice. Cant say anything else at the moment. :(

Hi everyone, don't post here much but still pop by from time to time. :) Stolt, your finger looks almost rubber like as the wound is so clean...looks very deep though, no wonder you felt ill! House is looking good.

latecomer, sorry you're having a rough patch and congrats on your baby news.

Glad to hear TD is still improving.

Oh dear Latecomer. Can't say I'm surprised to hear that but what a bummer! It takes the edge off all the excitement of your renovation really. I hope you get it sorted and can go forward and the end isn't too far away.

    Now thats a wound :D

As for the builders - we just want them to leave so we can get some real builders in and get the job finished. There isn't a lot of work left if there was a full team on it. We've had a couple of recommendations for both builders and joiners so will be getting them in to quote for the rest of the work.
