I cant find a 0.1 bar model but 0.2 is just as good.
I think 0.2bar is the recommended pressure on that valve but when you look in the technical information on the grohe website they quote a flow rate for 0.1bar. To get a decent flow though you might need to up the pipe diameters to 22mm pipe if the pipe runs are more than a few metres. For our new shower i completely rerun all the pipework via shorter more direct route with the least number of bends possible (2 rather than 8!). Your other options are to fit a pump or have seperate bath taps and standard wall-mounted shower valve.

    Moi? Nosy? Surely not! :p

yes please, photos, photos! I need another blog to add to my list of procrastination methods!

BTW Andy - thanks for your tip RE sanding and filling the joins in the wallpaper, I've started doing this (takes blimmin ages, so didn't do the whole lot in one go) and I think it's going to come up a treat. OH is going to do an undercoat today, hopefully, so we'll get an idea of whether it's worked. I wish I'd kept a note of how many tubes of decor-fill we've used all-told...must be at least 30 by now!!

We had another architect round last night to look at the house and despite the fact he could talk for Britian, I liked him and as we have seen some of his plans already we have a good idea what to expect. He's also not part of a large firm and hence we are hoping that his fees will be more reasonable than some of the other quotes. He's going to come back to us with some initial sketches and a quote for the work in the next 2 weeks.

Hoping to get a little time in the garden over the weekend but we are going to see some friends tonight to get away from it all and take my mind off tuesday.

I've also started taking legal advice and been advised that they charge £200 per hour  and to expect it to cost £500 if we want to challenge anything. Nice work if you can get it!
I've been informally told that the company cover up to £250 but I've just asked them to cover the the estimated £500 and am currently waiting for a reply. Might be a long wait though.

Just popped on quickly to say to TM - hope Paul's chemo goes ok today.

Quick update - 3rd bedroom all painted, only thing remaining is a second coat of gloss on the woodwork. Have to do that one night this week as the carpet fitter is coming on friday. Looks fab - I love the colour! Will try to post a photo later.

Hope you all had good and productive weekends...!

Ah, thank you sweetie! He was picked up by hospital transport just before 8am, the hospital is an hour and a half's drive away so it's difficult (and expensive) to continually drop him off/return ad infinitum. This type of chemo is given over three days so he wont be home until probably Friday. I'll get to see him one night this week as my son is taking me. Just a visit is a four hour job, three of which are travelling.

Looking forward to seeing the photo of your bedroom, what colour is it?

I put some more ramblings on my blog. Have to say I'm getting a bit cheesed off with the dust more than anything. I want the painters gone so I can get on with a good clean up and I want to choose some bedroom furniture and get the suitcases/boxes unpacked.

It looks as though we'll need fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms, not the sliding door type but the doors on hinges. Anyone know of any nice ones? I'm leaning towards this oak furniture if I can find out the dimensions and get the pieces up the dog-leg OK and, of course, find the best price. I'm wondering where I can get fitted wardrobe doors that will go with it.

Highlight of the day so far - I bought a mop at the weekend and I've cleaned the vinyl in the bathroom :rotfl: ('struth, I'm sad but it does look nice!)

Not a great deal to report from me. spent most of yesterday sanding down some of the old skirting boards which we intend to reuse. they are looking pretty good and I'm sure will look even better once they are fitted back on. We've also got one new length thats a very good colour & grain match for the old stuff so it will be used to fill in the gaps.

Did a bit of clearing up in the garden too but not a huge amount. Grass seed still hasn't started to grow so I suspect its not going to. Will keep an eye on it for a little longer but if it doesn't start soon I'll give up on it and try again.

@TM - hope it all goes well. Will be thinking of you both.

Love the oak unit. I heard on friday our replacement oak units are all at the warehouse ready for delivery so that should happen later this week providing the meeting tomorrow goes as expected.
