I needed a new base for my home PC (don't ask - sore point) on Saturday, and called in to local Aldi on the off chance that they had some of the "back to school" specials left from early August. Sure enough, there was a box on display and I was able to buy one without trouble.
Great PC for the money!
I reckon the queue will be for the external hard drives - especially good for the e-bay crowd, I reckon.
Best of luck,

Must admit to have done the same and got the back to school PC as its a far better spec. The new one is a decent machine but not as good as the last offer IMO.
If the OP definatly wants one then a queue session is the only sure fire way as at this time of year some people will be buying for xmas already.

I did go for the hard drive though. As well as the advertised 500Gb one for £49.99, they had the 750Gb one for £69.99 - which I thought was a great deal. Slotted straight into the holster on top of the Medion base, and was good to go in seconds.

Aldi pc's are nothing special nowadays certainally not the bargains they used to be, there are always stock in my local one even days after they come out, the used to sell out within minutes, there are cheaper deals elsewhere0

While they used to be sought after ( and i got one a few years back) recently they've not been the "must queue to get" combination of value and features that they use to be . Still decent Pcs formost home users - depending as always on your needs - but not having to queue for a "hit or miss" limited stock from store miles away for me makes other offers more appealing so I got my replacement elsewhere (also because I wanted to stick with XP).0
