Queue or not for Aldi PC

Options
Hi can anyone tell me are the PC's at Aldi something you need to queue for before the doors open?

I have been there for some of their previous offers and some items are a definite queue-up-before-they-open-thing, as they only have a few and it is a bargain but others are not?

Sometimes I go there at any time and they still have PC's to be sold from some recent offer that could be a week or more old.

The reason I ask is for this offer http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/58_7349.htm

I bought a PC several years ago from them and that was a really good deal and a definite limited amount and a queue up for thing but as I have not bought a PC from them in years and they have had a few over the years I have no idea about this offer, can anyone tell me anything please?

Any help appreciated.

  • I would just head down there and aim to get there about 10 mins before they open. I doubt there would be a queue.

Know where the next nearest store is for a backup.

Got my PC from ALDI last year. I didn't need to queue - they a few in stock when I went. I got mine a little before Xmas as well.
  • You better be there when they open. They never have many, and you can never tell how popular the computer on offer is going to be.
  • when i bought our bbq last year

i happened to nip down 10 mins before they were shutting the night before, for a bit of shopping and they had put them out already, for the morning

i asked could i buy one and was told yes,

Very naughty. They're not allowed to.
  • As others have said safest is to get there early, but my experience on computers has tended to be that they have plenty.
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...
  • Oh this brings back memories for me...a couple of years ago on a very cold Thursday morning (8am if I remember correctly)

Wanted to get a PC from there and a friend of mine (Aldi Pro) told me to get to my local store at least hour before they open!!!

So I got there at about 8am (if I remember correctly)...and I was supprised to see a que already forming. There was at least five 'computer geeks' queing...they each had brought flasks of tea and butties...?! 10 minutes before the store opened the manager came out and asked if we were queing for the PC's...'Errhhh yeah...why else would I be stood here freezin my bits off?!' he then handed us each a raffle ticket. So we were allocated the PC's before the store opened...Good job too...cos when I got to the tills to pay I looked back to the PC area and it was a frenzy of 'late showers' just about fighting for the last few PC's?!

So my advice is go early and que. Hopefully your store will also have the raffle ticket system. If they don't be prepared for a mad trolley dash when the doors open.

As for the quality of the Aldi PC's...I love mine...wonderful bit of kit.

    Good Luck...!

  • Hmm, I think times may be changing here. I needed a new base for my home PC (don't ask - sore point) on Saturday, and called in to local Aldi on the off chance that they had some of the "back to school" specials left from early August. Sure enough, there was a box on display and I was able to buy one without trouble.

    Great PC for the money!

I reckon the queue will be for the external hard drives - especially good for the e-bay crowd, I reckon.

    Best of luck,

    Regards,

    White.

Some offers in our local ALDI are sometimes out for sale a full week before the advertised date.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

they tend to do that so the staff in the following morning dont have to worry about puting the new offers out

the store could just get 4 of the towers in so yes its advisable to get there as soon as you can,
