Natwest ISA Question

Hye

I have noticed that natwest has increased their rates for ISA and e-savings account to very competitive rates.

I was with natwest for 5 years and just because they announced this new rates i transfered my ISAs to Abbey. Yesterday i received a letter saying they have closed the account and cheque has been issued to abbey. So transfer should be completed this week (allowing 3-4 days for cheque to clear)

1) Now their rate is quite good so i want to move back to them. Does anyone see any problem with this?

2) Secondly i have two ISAs, one which i transfered to abbey for previous years and second is this year's ISA which is with Barclays. Can i transfer both of these ISAs into one natwest account?

3) Finally i also have instant access savings account, can i do the same with that account as well (i.e. open another account, close existing one and then open a new account).

Just a note to add that personally during these 5 years i have never had a problem with them at all. quite like the service i received so am keen to be with them...

Thanks
J

If you read the other Natwest threads here and on the ISA board you will see that several people have opened the new e-save account and then transferred the money in the old account to that. You can transfer as many ISAs as you like to Natwest but it seems that you will have to fill in the same forms 3 times, ie one for each ISA. (At least that was what I was told!)

    Be careful! or Be Quick!

The rates have gone down around 0.5% from today (3rd November).

From next Monday, in addition, the bonus will be reduced from 2% to 1.7%

    [STRIKE]It's from today, 3/11/08, and it's now 1.76%...but only until 9/11/08.

Apologies, I was given incorrect information by NatWest. Correct information, in detail, here...
