  • intel, as far as I'm aware, there are big problems with Jobseeker Direct right now. This is due to a new computer system they've had installed. It's also led to a massive backlog in dealing with claims for JSA. You're probably better off calling or popping into your local office.

I hope that you don't mind me asking...

What office location has told you this?

Are you a benefits claimant? (obviously don't answer if you do not wish to)

Did they give you any reason for the change?

One thing that you could try is either visiting or phoning and asking to speak to the Vacancy Services Manager (VSM) or equivalent, explaining the situation and advising them that you wish to obtain the contact details for the vacancy/ies you want to apply for. As long as you don't intend on reeling off a list of 50 vacancy reference numbers, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't look on the LMS system while you are on the phone/at their desk and obtain the details for you*....?

*it also benefits them directly if you get the job(s).

  • :money:Vertex Customer Management Services now support the Government by delivering the Jobseeker Direct telephony service.

Customers call the Jobseeker Direct 0845 6060 234 number to search for jobs in the usual way.

Customers give their National Insurance Number, Name, Date-of-Birth and Address to the Customer Service Agent, who then gives out Job Details or carries out a Job-Search.

Vertex responds to a proportion of 100,000 Jobseeker Direct customer calls per week and supports Jobcentre Plus by answering these calls.
