I want a upvc front door

I am looking to purchase a new upvc front door and have it fitted.

Any suggestions of who I should be getting quotes from? :mad:

I live in the Hertfordshire area.

I'd ask round your neighbours for an independant, local fitter.
When we had ours done we got quotes from a couple of national firms and a couple of locals.
The locals were half the price of the locals, we went with a guy who'd done a couple of other houses in our street, reasonable, fast and he cleaned up after himself!
I'm nowhere near you otherwise I'd recommend him!

Is £760 a reasonable price for a new fitted UPVC door? I am trying to get other quotes but just wondered if this was a decent price!

in my local papers (swindon and southampton) the going rate seems to be £500 fitted with smallish local firms

Im sure this is then probably bumped up with extras that ARE needed, so the £760 is not too crazy, others may of acutally purchased somethign recentley so may be along with a better answer
