Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
I have done a lot of running about, but it has not been too bad - while DS was at karate and DD was skiing, I walked to do my errands so got a fair bit of fresh air and exercise. I ended up walking round the area in which our "house from hell" was, and, you know when you walk round somewhere thinking "I'm glad I don't live here"? Well, that is how I felt - There was nothing there that made me think that we should still be there. So that was a good feeling really - I have moved on
I say that there is nothing that made me think I should still be there, but there is a great "proper" butcher round the corner from our old house, so I found myself in there, ordering some gluten free sausages, that he used to make specially for us to stock up in our freezer. I will go back and collect them in a couple of weeks. They are really yummy
DS's skis became very damaged this morning - no fault of anyone, just one of those things, but I came home expecting to have to buy new ones - however, the guy at the shop reckons he should be able to repair them and will charge £25 - certainly a whole lot better than the £300 a new pair would cost. I have left them with him and hope that he doesn't ring to say that he can't repair them after all. Fingers crossed!
I have done a few surveys that were sitting in my inbox and have asked for £5 to be sent from lightspeed to paypal.......every little helps!
Miss Bez and Surfbabe - I do hope you get your amazon vouchers. Sending positive thoughts your way.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Hypno! Good news on the sausages - and possibly on the repair too.
Erm, you know when everybody got their qype amazon vouchers, and I posted that I didn't, but I didn't expect to be in the first wave? Well, I did. I got them in an email dated Thursday 27 November at 7.49. I've *no* clue how I missed them, I was scouring my inbox, my spam, my deleted in case I'd been too quick - but there they are, plainly, in my inbox. So I'm off to amazon *right* now. Not posting to gloat - but I didn't sign up to the amazon challenge until *after* I'd done the 50 reviews, and I emailed that Count Me In thing that Seaxwyn mentioned - and they did count me in. I hope Surfbabe and Miss Bez find hope from that.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Surfbabe, I am sorry that you are uncomfortable but hope that they can soon make progress with getting you back to normal. As for not teaching, well, you have to do what you need to do to get better - hard though that may be. In terms of lost income, we can make that up on the up your income board etc, but if you lose your voice permanently, we can't replace that (well, not on this board, anyway!).Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
