    Download install and run CCleaner.

Download, install, update and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

    Buy some more RAM.

Increase size of paging file-default setting is stupidly low- takes 10 seconds. Double check that you have lots of space on your Hd too

Hi Torres can you tell me how to do that please!!

  • It's possible you are simply running out of storage space on your Hard Drive - that's what it uses for "virtual memory".

You need to have quite a bit of space on your HD to get the best performance as well - if I drop below 1 gigabyte then the effect becomes noticeable and that's even with 2GB of system RAM

    According to the OP:

Nearly 35GB of Temp files would be quite an achievement. CCleaner would have quite a job. ;)

That would be quite an achievement - but the number of times I've helped friends out with virii on their pc's that never surf on !!!!!! sites.....;)

Sometimes, it does turn out to be the fault of one of their offsping of course....:A
