Tag - am I mixing you up with someone else or is your DB in the army and about to go off on a tour?

Yeah it's me. Little Bruv is in the Navy and due to go to Afganistan in a couple of weeks.

I'll be making fortnightly trips to the post office for the next 6 months till he's back. I've been looking on the Armed Forces Board and getting a few ideas of what the boys (and girls) missed/wanted /needed while they were out there.

    Evening ladies

Mudbath she is lovely, less spotty than I had imagined for some reason

I used to have an old cortina which required me to drive around with a hammer for months to give the starter motor a gentle tap.

My friend came for a cuppa and a chat this evening and commented on how tidy and clean the house was, it was nice to have just done my dalies/todays' room and not rush around to have the place straight - I think it is the decluttering which is really starting to show and make the cleaning easier.

Off to be now, see you all tomorrow x

Quick catch up during the lunch break.

    Mudbath - just gorgeous!!

I'm just going to be doing what is currently annoying me on any given day this week. If I try and follow the lists I'll just disappoint myself.

    Today I want to:

Sweep and mop the bathroom floors, and maybe the laundry floor as well.

    Morning all

Got to go to work this morning. Well, IBS permitting:rolleyes: I'm still not 100% and that will be a week tonight it kicked off. Said a week or so didn't I.

Feel much, much better than last week though. I have a feeling that it could possibly have something to do with the burger and chips that I had for dinner last night. I knew I shouldn't have had it. That'll teach me. I think, fingers crossed, that it's settling a bit now though.

Rainy and dark and dull here at the moment. Right gotta go. Shower, banana,
(again) for breakfast. Get DD up, fed, dressed and dropped off at CM off to work. Got a couple of errands to run afterwards and I should see you around lunchtime ish.
  • I have set myself 7 tasks for this week - at a rate of 1 per day that is not much - these must be done this week.

Toots's that's such a good idea... I make lists every week but some things have been on there an absolute age - but if I set just a couple that I don't really want to do and make myself have to or else (? not sure what the or else will be - wrath from Pigpen? ) mmm, will have to think about that one this weekend I think...

tonight I have to drive 60 odd miles each way to take OH to fetch his new motorbike........what the fck does he want that and a car for!!, but spends out on a new bike, (2nd hand) grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Men and their machines eh! hubby used to be like that - I've driven miles to collect stuff and then drive home all on my own in the dark pre-decent late night radio stations - usually only a talk show on radio 2 about cul-de-sacs when I really needed a sing-a-long (hmmm, think I might be needing some therapy, I actually remember that chat show - they were discussing a lorry and not being able to park - wasn't you was it Valli???) We currently have a motor bike in the garage (have a car each?) that he has driven 4 times, but it vibrates through his a**e (which would be good for him IYKWIM) so he won't ride it??? don't figure!

Does anyone have a unit which houses the recyling stuff in their kitchen. We've always had ours in an open crate in the kitchen but poppy spots likes to play in it! She's good but not good enough that she takes it outside and puts it in the recycling bins outside.

I've got one of those 4 draw jobbies that I have in my kitchen - if I didn't the dogs would be all over it - top draw for plastic, next paper, next food waste bin and bottom one for glass - I just empty into our red plastic recycling bags when full - easy to wash out when the kids just put the tins in with stuff still in them and it leaks everywhere! - This is what I mean - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0176587/Trail/searchtext%3ESTORAGE.htm

OH pulled it out earlier before calling engineer, left it out and now, fingers crossed it seems to be working?!

Get the wiring checked on it - sounds like a short to me and moving it has re-connected something - be careful it doesn't go again if there is one?
