Just having a little break from ironing - half done, not as much to do as usual as I'm a bit behind with the washing - washer on at the moment as DS needs PE kit for tomorrow.

Christmasshopper Unless kids clothes are in good condition (in which case I ebay or pass to a friend) I put them in the clothing bins you get with recyling bins at the supermarket or in the charity bags which we get a lot of (you do all know that lots of those are businesses and not charities don't you). I work on the principle that if they are used for rags it is better than landfill and somebody will get a bit of cash.

OH putting littlest to bed so best go and check DS1 is in the bath.

yes dusty I agree with you about putting old clothes in recycling or charity bags - the charities get paid from the rag collectors and the rags get recycled into products so it has to be worth doing.
if its a council recycling bin then they too get paid by the firms that buy from them so the money goes back into your local economy.

  • Hi ladies - question for the teachers amongst you - what on earth is PSHE? I'm looking at DS's timetable and I've not a clue!

Have made good progress today, toy area is tidier but needs another couple of HHT's. And my study area has acres more space - been able to rearrange a little and find the radiator at last.

Ironing up to date and just a couple of miniloads until all the washing has been done as well. Hurray.

Back off to shred some more paper...

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

PSHE is something like physical/social and health education.

Ironing done so going to treat myself to a bit of family history research whilst watching Ian Hisslop

It stands for Personal, Social and Health Education. It covers a multitude of topics - don't know if that's any help to you.

  • Thank you all for your encouragement again today. I have got more jobs done in the past few days than I did in the past month. I am still feeling positive about it, and couldn't have done it on my own.
    Thank you.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D
