  • Hi all, not been on all day and am sitting doing bu**er all as just feel very bleeeuugh! not ill or anything, just can't be asked and have no energy, so thought s*d it, and have taken the day off!

Hubby has got called in for an extra day's work (handy money wise) DD came out with us last night and went back to my mums this morning, and DS has gone out with his mates so just me with a cuppa and tv...

Am watching a really weird programme on Discovery real time called "time to get your house in order" there's a woman on there who sits on the sofa blowing a whistle when she wants a cuppa, or lays in bed, or just does nothing while the hubby does ALL the work, dinner, breakfast, ironing, cleaning, windows, the lot - I WANT TO SWAP! seriously, weird...

Right, am going to sit here with some paperwork and do that while I doss,

    Well done Tag!

I've put lots of smelly candes on as I have hundreds (slight exaggeration - about 50) in a drawer that I want to empty. The place is smelling nice...kiwi and rhubarb and one called sensual. Lets hope it doesn't give DH any ideas when he comes in. At least the place smells clean xx

    Congratulations TAG:beer:

I hope you get the rest done as easily, and that it sells quickly!

I've done all my ironing except the duvet cover. I noticed as I was doing it that lots of the stuff says Dry Clean only on it... so if anyone else has Hobbs linen stuff and is dry cleaning it, don't bother, I've been washing this stuff for years. It never occured to me to dry clean linen!

Have also bought fruit (plums for stewing), a new radio for the kitchen (SO nice not to have constant interference, and a new hifi for the living room (it was £50 off, and actually has everything I want :T ) where I haven't had one since easter because I'm so fussy. The one in the study only misbehaved once while I was ironing, so it might have a stay of execution for a bit.

Off to play with my new stereo now and ignore the fact that I'd intended to do the floors today :o

    Evening all!

Well OH has gone out to shooting club, and I'm here by my own again plus small black furry (cat) curled up on the bed asleep.

Did all of the food shopping, and have made flapjacks for my lunchboxes in place of chocolate bars (not sure if they're any healthier, but hey), and made a microwave chocolate cake to use up a couple of the eggs. It's cooling on the side - hope it's ok, cos I forgot to put the milk in it as I was trying to make it with OH, and I think it was a case of too many cooks. Still, it was nice to do things together for a change. I'm going to fill the chocolate cake with forest fruits jam from Lidl (I normally use raspberry jam, so hope it tastes nice). We'll be having a piece of this after dinner for dessert.

I've washed all of my gym towels, and they've been TD. Just need to find all of my work trousers and wash them just in case I get called for supply. I have one pair available for tomorrow, but the rest need doing.

Have cleaned as much as I can of the kitchen surfaces, as the DW was apparently full and OH put it on before I'd done the baking, so I now have the bowls and foodprocessor out on the sides.

Think I'll put the timer on for 15 minutes and see what I can get done.

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
