Anyone know where I can get a meter cupboard key from, any major retailers that sell them, I've tried B&Q they don't sell them

Yes ask your supplier I did this year and got one. I did use some long nose pliers until it came though0

I contacted the supplier, (N power I think) they said they don’t issue them anymore and to contact my local council, which I did, and they said they don’t do them.
It not for me, it’s for an 83 year old lady I look after, she’s not had her meter read since the year dot.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

I got mine from an old fashioned hardware/ironmonger type store. There seems to be usually one in most towns. They were about £1.
failing that ebay have some.

If the neighbour's have the same cupboards, maybe one of them will lend you their key so that you can read the meter.
I'm sure that a work mate of mine bought one from B&Q not so long ago.

Hi baldy
Thanks for that, I’m going back to B&Q tomorrow, it’s to much of a coincidence the amount of people who’ve stated they sell themClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
