Recording on 90 min cd

Hi I would be very grateful if anyone can suggest how i can record on to a 90 min CD. I have tried Nero and going thru the setting changes but to no avail. If anyone knows of a different programme ( preferably an open source ) I would really like to be able to do this ?
Many thanks

Record what? Audio CDs have a running length of eighty minutes.

Just tried a dummy write with a 96 minute CD and the open source apps that I have and:

K3B doesn't seem to allow anything over 80 mins
Brasero allows setting CD length up to 100 mins
Gnomebaker has predefined lengths from 21 mins up to 99 mins

I didn't try an actual write, so whether a 96 min write will actually succeed is another matter...

[Edit: and as Donnie implies, whether a given CD player will be able to play it is also debateable, with some sources suggesting that some CD players can be damaged by trying to play over-length CDs]

Don't dismiss the possibilitythat your CD writer could be the limiting factor. 90 min compatibility chart

NOTE: If you do not have a supporting hardware, software and/or software-setting the 90 min CD-R will show as 80 min.

    Sorry....edited to add more info.

Its quite possible to completely knacker the writer by going past its limits (Or indeed TRYING to go past its limits)
