Asda dvd recorders?

Please excuse my ignorance but do these dvd recorders allow you to copy tv programmes just like a vcr used to? basically ma &pa's vcr has packed in so looking to getthem a pressie for xmas, cheers :j

If you are going to get a DVD-recorder I suggest going for one with the DVD-RAM format. This allows you to watch programs which are still recording.
I also suggest that Richer Sounds (https://www.richersounds.com) is a better place to look than Asda (however much I do love Asda, RS is cheaper
