...and before anyone jumps in saying "OMG, we're going to get power cuts!!!" - We're not likely to this year unless something very unexpected happens with the weather or some other disaster. A combination of the recession reducing power load & improved efficiencies on the part of business & householders has kept the demand on the grid steady for the last few years - i.e. it has not risen as was anticipated.
Once all those old nuclear plants start getting decommissioned next year onwards though...0 -

there is of course pratical measures in place and have been for quite some time to deal with any surge in demand such as electric moutain in north wales which increased its capicity recently,I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0
