Hi all, relatively new to this site generally...was just wondering if anyone had an idea of how much i can roughly expect to be granted on a credit card for a credit limit.
I have a pretty good credit card rating with no outstanding payments and never really got into debt (only student loan which isnt on there). I am 23 at the moment and my first credit card with Egg i took out at 21 and my credit limit was £2000, i have never gone past £500. I am just wondering if anyone has a rough idea how much i might be granted now...as i am thinking of stoozing...
If it is no more than £2000 that i can expect to get is stoozing for me personally worth it?
Thanks for all your comments they will be most appreciated.

doesn't really matter how much you get to start with, stooze anyway, when you get close to the limit, call them and see if they're increase it. i've been stoozing for a couple of years now, had credit limits ranging from 1k to about 5k. using hsbc at the mo, was originally given 4k, rang up a couple of weeks ago and got it rasied to 5k. if one card doesn't give you a very high limit, apply for another to use along side it.0

Does all this affect your credit rating? Or does it help it granted you make the minimum payments?
How much can i realistically expect to get from this?
How much have you made?0 -
credit rating is fine as long as you make minimum payments on time each month. have no idea exactly how much i've made, but a fair amount i guess. I currently owe 4k+ on hsbc card, it's interest free till feb. will prib try for a hbos card then.0
