Car Insurance for over 80's

I've been looking for some new car insurance for my dad aged 82. Does anyone know what companies insure this age group. I tried loads and after putting all his info on they dont tell you to the end they dont insure over 80's. One that I could do through Quidco would be good as well!

There are 3 major players in the over 80's insurance sector:
Saga (underwritten by Saga Insurance Co Ltd, based in Gibraltar)
RIAS (underwritten by Fortis who are thought to be in financial trouble)
Age Concern (also underwritten by Fortis)
All 3 have websites, so you can get a quote for your dad on line and see which is best. I've checked on Quidco and none of them are offering cashback.
The usual blah - I don't work for any of the above companies and have no contact with them. I'm not giving advice, just my own personal opinion. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
You might also want to have a look at Help the Aged's insurance arm - INTUNE
who are part of LV.
When I did a similar exercise for my 83yr old MIL SAGA turned out best for her but, of course, much depends on postcode, usage and cover required.
RIAS, who supposedly specialise in over-50's insurance, have never come anywhere near for me, Mrs W or other wrinkly relatives when I've tried them for quotes.0
