Hi
I have been told by my university that I have 10 days to pay the fees otherwise I will be blocked from accessing the university computer services and library. My modules were late coming on the system and that delayed my application for funding. I sent it off and a couple of weeks later it came back, saying that the university didnt fill it in properly.
Does anyone know how long its going to take? Quite
with it all.
I got in contact with the uni and they basically said that unless they get the letter from LEA, that they will block me

Who did you get in contact with at the university? I'd write to the head (by name, check the website) of 'Fees' (or whatever the service department is called). Better still, make an appointment to see him/her in person. Include/take a copy of the the letter saying it was the university's fault, and if possible some evidence that your modules were late being sorted.
Even if you do go in person, make sure you put it in writing too.
Have a look through the uni website, or your paperwork. Somewhere there ought to be a complaints procedure, although it probably says you have to complain to the relevant head of service in writing first as I've suggested. If you don't get a reasonable response from 'Fees', there should be somewhere else you can complain to.
Finally, if you have a sympathetic personal tutor talk to them as well, showing them your letters etc. They might be able to give you advice.
In the meantime, of course, get the form filled out properly and sent back to the LEA.0 -
Also worth asking if you can make a part-payment? That's especially worthwhile if you haven't paid anything yet. Agree that going to see someone is a good plan. It's not in the Uni's interests to throw people off the course for non-payment of fees but the person chasing fees likes to know who's a 'can't pay' and who's a 'won't pay'!Signature removed for peace of mind0
