Easy avocado recipes for a baby?

Hiya,
Another alternative is avocado & melon mash - the melon dilutes the strong taste of the avocado, which might make it easier to introduce. When they get a bit bigger, It can be mashed with creme fresh to go on top of jacket potato or chopped up into small chunks and added to salad.
I think that adding lemon juice to avocado mash is meant to stop it going funny, however my girls both love the stuff so have never been able to try this.

I always fed my baby some cooked and mashed carrots, mixed with half an avocado and some humous..just mix and mash it together.. wanted him to get used to garlic and non bland food early on! He loved it.0

I used to feed mine mashed avocado mixed with either pear or apple puree ( I would make a batch of puree and freeze it in ice-cube trays ). As the baby gets older slices of avocado make a good finger food as its quite soft.0

Ah, so its both sweet and savoury! I was asking OH yesterday in Morrisons whether it would be in the vege, salad or fruit section, he didn't know either!!
I was a bit boring I'm afraid. I chopped it up then tried to mash it (failed miserably as it wasn't soft enough, so tryed using the stick blender and got covered! She liked it though, which is good.
She loves food with lots of flavour - curry, spag bol, chilli etc! We live in Bradford, so I guess thats useful!
I've got another avocado, so will try the other suggestions at a later stage. I really want her to get into a good variety of foods and so far she hasn't turned her nose up at anything. Roast dinners, jacket spuds with tuna etc. My dad says she loves her groceries!
Thank you all lots!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0
