They have one in London 14th-16th November.Would have liked to have gone but too far from North Kent. It sounds very interesting though and I look forward to hearing how you all got on.

I go to the London one every year with my sister and my Auntie. Me & Auntie travel to London by coach and meet sis there. We have a blast!
Last year I came away with 23 jars of organic sauce (curry, pasta and the like) 30 bars of chocolate etc. I wasn't wise to the moc but I sure as heck am now!
It's a marvellous day out.
Btw, whoever was asking about knives, I bought some in August from the balloon fiesta. They are the ones with holes all down the blade. No serated knife included. I've seen them for a few years at the food show but never been able to try them out and after our first costly mistake of buying a gadget we couldn't use, we only buy what we can try.
I was able to try the knives at the balloon fiesta and they're great but will need to ditch my plastic chopping board and switch to my glass one as they even cut the board!
I had raw fish the other night and couldn't cut through it with the scissors so I thought I'd give them a try. Blinking marvellous. I was amazed, it cut right through. The trick with them is not to push but to go back and forth. They also have a lifetime guarantee. £30 for the set of 3 and they are available online.
This year at the food show I will be looking for a decent knife sharpener if anyone can recommend one or say not to buy one I'd be grateful.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Went a few years ago with Mr Noah and we had a great time trying out all the alcohol sample. We were more than a little tipsy when we left!0

 Bought my tickets about a week ago and didn't even look on here to see if there were any discounts or offers on them!! So i've paid full price for two tickets! I'm new to this site though so it's not yet an automatic reaction to check on here first - you live and learn I guess!
It is great fun I have to say though, my OH and I got more than a little tipsy too when we went. Agree that you should take your own food for lunch as the prices are horrendous, as they always are at the NEC.
When we went last time we did end up spending way more than we intended and could afford really so just try not to get too carried away with all the lovely food, cheeses, chocolates, etc, etc that are for sale!0 -

looks like I'll be going by train then :beer:0 -
I've been for years now and love it...but i've never taken a packed lunch as we spend all day eating the freebies...if you don't mind mixing sweet then savoury things all day then you won't go hungry. We then wash it down with free samples of wine, juices etc.
You can buy food to eat there but i agree its very expensive.0 -
We took a picnic and didnt eat hardly any of it, the kids gorged on posh yogurts, icecream, sausages, toasties, pizza, cheese etc. the Muller Lounge were giving out. If you have children bring plenty of your own drinks, they are a ridiculous price to buy there.0

Just bought 4 tickets, total cost £36 so bargain day out for us and I'm sure we will have a ball as none of us have been before

Thanks very much for all the info, but does anyone know how you book free children's tickets, I can only see a thing for the under 5s, not for saying how many 5-16 year olds, am I missing a vital button to press (probably am!).GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
