Hello, Just been reading about this in the magazine & I really fancy a trip. Just wondering what others have thought of previous shows?

I went for the first time this year the Summer event at the NEC, We had a ball, ate and ate and ate for free. Kids loved it too. Watched John Turrode cook again for free people who buy tix didnt have as good a view I dont think.
Came home with dozens of freebies, lightbulbs, bottles of oil, Cif cleaner, crisps, drinks countless money off coupons. You easily get your money back on a single ticket.
I bought a picnic trolley that I actually wanted and it was half price so a good saving. Take a picnic to the show as well as the cafes are dear, but you dont need cold drinks as there are lots of freebies.
  • Been to the good food show 3 times and booked my tickets for this year. It is fantastic. You get loads of freebies. get to taste loads of foods and alcohol. Last year me and my friend were tipsy by lunchtime. There are loads of oppertunities to buy christmas pressies. Oh yeah plus you get loads of money of vouchers.
I would recomend going. I am really looking forward to this years show.
If you do go, put on comfy shoes coz you are on your feet all day.
    Nothing to declare ;)

I have free tickets to this that were posted onto the freebies board a couple of weeks ago. As i live locally i try to go to any of the shows where you get free tickets. As previously mentioned the freebies you get are outstanding more so when they have MOC included. The first time we went i admit i got carried away with the freebie aspect so whenever a piece of paper was flung at me to fill in for a comp i did just that and forgot to check the small print what a mistake - no i dont want a time share, no i dont want to pay for flights and get holiday free etc etc.

All in all though it is a good day out. Take a packed lunch with you if you intend staying the day as prices are pathetic seeing as you are a captive audience. Your looking in excess of a fiver for crisps, sandwich and a hot drink each.

went last nov it was fantastic loads of tasters and freebies. the only down side there is hardly anywhere to sit but we went with the kids and had a great time
  • Maybe you already know this but code DM15 gets you some money off tickets. I think it makes it two for £35.
  • Also 2 entry tickets for the price of 1. The offer is valid Thurs 27th to Sun 30th (except the preview day) and is only valid for general admission tickets. Tickets are subject to £1.50 booking fee. Enter DM19 as the promotional code

Makes it about £20 cheapest for family of four.

Remember kids are free but you need to book tickets for them

Easy Peasy, I got about £125 MOC's from the books they were handing out, some vendors as you go in were giving out 2/3 booklets and between 4 of us its easy.
They pass them to you each time you enter or leave.;)
