Think I just may start on one of these tomorrow -in between wrapping stuff up - make a change. Found some felt in a sort of oatmeal colour.............think I'll stick to neutral shades as I want them to go on the pine dresser with some little gingerbread men I've got .
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

So pleased this thread is now moving I was suprised that there weren't many comments as I know how many of you like craft etc. I found some really thin tinsel today in my craft box, less than 1/4" wide so I have wrapped that round one tree and sewn it into place this tree also has tiny gold bells on it so it looks great

if there is any chance of a photo id love to see! it sounds so sweet.

Hob - my goodness you'd have to make a massive one!!! Perhaps if you weighted a small corner of it the tree would keep coming upright - and put some catnip smell in it to drive your cat mad - they love it.
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

So pleased with myself................spent the morning making three of these little soft trees :j
I'd got some 'freebie' fabric in natural colour and a cone shaped candle so used that as my 'template'..............I think they look ok......not sure what OH will say though..............lol Took me a while as had to do them by hand and being small, bit fiddly for me.
Not decorated them yet but thinking buttons and natural coloured beads of some sort.......have to have a rummage through mums old button tin.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Sorry I can't find any pictures to go with the instructions. You need to cut out 6 pattern pieces symetrical tree shape, all identical. Join them in paits right sides together, leaving a 3" opening at the base, make the opening central. You then turn the trees the right way out. You will now have 3 double sided trees. Lay them on top of each other. Then sew through all 3 trees, fastening the 3 pieces to each other. Then through the small gap in the bottom of each section stuff each piece then hand stitch the opening.

Hope I haven't confused you more. PM me if I have Almond and I will try to help.
