    Don't know how I missed this last year...............love the oatmeal coloured cone shaped one at top of the thread. I;ve got some cream suedette material -wonder if that would look ok with some cream ribbon/buttons on.
    I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Sounds good to me. I am making a collection at the moment as I am doing a small workshop with some of the ladies at church and want to have some samples to give them a few ideas.

    Just had a thought - I had some freebie fabric samples, A4 size and several of those were in a sort of oatmeal...........was thinking of doing a few to stand on our pine dresser............:j They might be better than the suedette.

    Must get stuff wrapped up and sorted out before I start on those though:rotfl:

    oh I knew i should not have looked at this thread!.. it is beautiful thank you for posting it sethgran... I have goregous red velvet and gold fabric left over from the geese I made a few years ago Hmmmmmm a tree?

  • i dont really do sewing but i love these! do you think they would work with felt? its the only 'fabric' i have in. im a bit skint atm and dont want to buy any fabric if i cant do it, i would prefer to try it out before splashing my cash!

    this has fixed my christmas tree im gonna make this only bigger!! i have a cat who thinks that christmas trees are big toys i wont mind so much if he keeps nocking this tree over! less clean up.

    So pleased this thread is now moving I was suprised that there weren't many comments as I know how many of you like craft etc. I found some really thin tinsel today in my craft box, less than 1/4" wide so I have wrapped that round one tree and sewn it into place this tree also has tiny gold bells on it so it looks great
