am i entitled to smp

Hello I have looked at so many web sites and am a bit confused. please help! I have just found out i am 5 weeks pregnant, problem is only started a new job 3 weeks ago, obv didn't know i was pregnant at the time. Question is, will i get smp? Many thanks:confused:

Well, what you said and what you maent are also two different things. That is why people get confused and get given the wrong advice. SMP is paid via your employer, yes, but there is no such thing as company SMP. If you get more than SMP, you are getting Company Maternity Pay.
