Two student accounts?

I opened a student account with Lloyds TSB earlier in the year, and now The Royal Bank of Scotland has decided to upgrade my R21 account to a student royalities account without even asking me, where do I stand on the "must not have another student account" clause? Surely since they were the ones that decided to upgrade my account and I have not signed anything, I can't have broken any t&c with Lloyds or RBS?

i wouldn't worry too much about it, i had abbey and barclays student accounts, didn't really use the barclays one.

Likelyhood is that there was a tick box thingy on the RBS account and that is what it is. There is no rule of law that states that you cannot have two student accounts.

I know but I don't want the accounts closed and left with no current account or credit card and not be able to access my isa linked to it.

Only thing they would do is take away your overdraft and start charging you for it. Racking up loads of charges leaving you in the crapper. So as long as you check your account every few days at least, you will be fine.

I have two student accounts. One with bank of scotland (HBOS) and one with lloyds TSB. The problem is that LloydsTSB is buying the HBOS group and will surely find out what i have done. What should i do?

I took out two student accounts about 6 years ago..... Was a clause that said that wasn't allowed but how would they ever find out???? They still haven't. Don't worry about it.

HOWEVER, 6 years on, I still have both overdrafts and am struggling trying to pay them back and I am now being charged to have them. If at all possible, DONT DO IT!! Easy money for the time being but an !!!! to pay back..... Think about what you are doing.
