Tip for Quicken/MS Money users

* Note for Fran, sra and Godders: please feel free to move this if it's in the wrong board, I wasn't sure whether this was the right place. Many thanks.

I use MS Money to keep track of my finances, and one thing I have done is to set up a special account that I use to keep track of money going into and out of my wallet.

So, when I withdraw money from one of my accounts, I enter it as a transfer from the bank account to the wallet account.

Spending cash is a withdrawal from the wallet account.

If I pay money into one of my bank accounts, that's a transfer from the wallet account to the bank account.

It's incredibly nerdy, but it seems to work for me. It should also work in Intuit Quicken as well.
