how do i know locks are bs3621?

Looking at the small print on my home insurance - how do i know that my locks are bs3621 standard or have 5 levers?

thanks in advance - just something i had not thought about before

I think the 5 lever ones are the type of doors where you push the handle up as you lock it, if you look at the door on the narrow edge where the lock is you should be able to see the 5 latches. I know my rear door is of that style but the front door is just a traditional lock.

"5 lever" refers to the number of levers within the lock housing. The more levers, the more complex the key to open it.

most lock edge plates will have the info on them. either BS &/or 5/3 lever lock.
if no info then assume its not to BS spec.
my insurance co insisted on BS locks for the patio doors. when i made enquiries it appears that there is no BS standard for patio doors!
