According to the 227 respondents in this poll...

    YB,

I'm confused by the stoozin poll.
I often wonder what Cap1's customer profile is?, cos I got £19k with MBNA and a miserly £1k with Cap1 (which some others get high limits), and yet £16+k with Barclays which is low rated.

  • I am convinced that if Cap 1 consider you as someone who will always pay off your account in full, then they either decline you or give a low limit. I had a £5K limit with them, usually put on about £1K a month on the card (Circle @ 1% cashback) so could have up to £2K max outstanding. I asked them to up my limit to £7.5K as I want to put a major purchase on it in a few weeks which might cost up to £5K. They only agred to increase to £6K. Still can't work out their attitude to risk....
