I got one of these and it worked fine on my TV etc, but every so often it had a bit of a glitch and stopped working for a few seconds. Then it went completely dead. Anyway, I took it back today and as soon as I said to a member of staff that I had a problem with a remote, he instantly said 'Oh you mean the 8 in 1' and it was obvious they'd had loads of returns. He offered me a refund or exchange and I took an exchange, which was no problem, since they still had stacks left. This was Exeter Wonford.

Hi, I am trying to set mine up at the moment but it's driving me insane! I have a Philips tv & Pioneer dvd player. Both of these have several codes in the manual but how do I know which code for which model?! It's taking forever to go through the "setup by autosearch" option0

Why not use the Direct Set Up (by Brand and Code) option? There are only 8 codes for Philips and 5 for Pioneer, so I wouldn't have thought it would take more than a couple of minutes to sort it out.

Never mind, it was just me being dumb. I didn't realise that you could test the direct setup option before you set it. I thought you had to set it then test it then go through the process of selecting then setting the next etc. Doh!
It's pretty good, very pleased0
