Have been using call 1899.com for over a year.
Very pleased with service no problems during that time.
However charge has gone from 1p/min to 2p/min.
I am on an NTL line.
Can anyone recommend the best alternative provider.
Thanks
Danny.

18185.co.uk - 1p/minute from a cable landline via their 0808 1 703 703 freephone access number.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

OR if u have a orange / o2 or virgin mobile with crossnet minutes u can call USA l/line & mobile 24/7 for nothing! [dial 07744 974 404 - https://www.simplyfone.com]0

This is a good site that I use pretty often, it shows the cheapest numbers for all different countries. I only use the US ones at 1p/min and never had any problems.

Calls are not free ,you pay for your inclusive minutes.

Always check the company websites if calling from a cable line or mobile

That it doesn't include all providers?Brodel wrote:limited in what way?
Anyway, its front page shows calls to Spanish mobiles at 7p/minute but, if you click, the cheapest available is 9p/minute (still a very good rate). That sort of discrepancy applies to the prices it shows for calls to a number of other country's mobiles too.
OTOH, there are now so many providers, there isn't, AFAIK, a site that does show them all (the MSE Callchecker doesn't either).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
