Older cat - suggestions appreciated

I decided to give my indoor cats tinned fish once a week as a treat. Only one will eat it - the younger one. The older one sometimes gets out & hunts - is his wild catch sufficient supplement for his diet (he is 9yrs old) or should I look at giving him glucosamine or other medical stuff? Btw they do eat Burns mostly & Mr Burns says supplements are not necessary - but I do wonder & am trying to keep him in the best possible health for his future `old age'?

I think I will just eat the tinned fish myself - as it was pichards in tomato sauce - have just read that tomatoes are poisonous to pets so probably not one of my better ideas!

We had an Oriental Black cat who used to catch and eat wild prey (despite all our best efforts ) His mother was exactly the same. He was a major prizewinner at cat shows-wonderful teeth and fabulous coat-even the vetting-in vet commented on it. He competed with cats fed on fancy diets etc but he was something else. The vets said that it was due to his 'wild diet'-because he ate everything (so to speak) his nutrition was very good. His teeth were especially good !
