Incorrect pricing at comet

Been searching for new fridge freezer for the past month, knowing what brand we wanted and checking prices via the net we found that comet have the wrong prices in their stores on the model of fridgefreezer we wanted. How many people have paid a hundred pounds more for this model???

We saw model priced £499 last week and nearly bought. Checked on their web site this am and found it priced at £399. So in true money saving style we went back in and tackled the sales person. It was still priced on the label at £499. Managed to get them to give us free delivery as well as we said that we would order online and get free delivery.

They did say that they would change the price tag just in case anyone else wanted the same model!

Alway check the online prices before you buy in the shop! If we had not we probably would be out of pocket now!

Just hope it turns up this week!!!!

Hi! FWIW it seems standard practice for online electrical retailers who also have physical stores to charge a higher price on various items in store. Of course, you say in this case they have made a genuine mistake, however it is very common to find the same items cheaper online - and they often state clearly on the site that the online price is not related to store prices.

It's well worth checking online as you say.
