Thanks for the advice about washing inside out as I have been having this problem lately too but thought it was because my WM is getting on a bit and maybe wasn't rinsing properly.
BTW I use washing liquid rather than powder so no point changing to liquid!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

And over filling the machine makes a difference too because they get crumpled instead of having room to move freely.. denim is heavy and I only half fill the drum rather than cramming in as much as possible.
re-dye them and wash inside out and dry as smooth as possible.
I use about a tablespoon of powder as well, you don't need anywhere near as much as the greedy manufacturers say.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Indigo, the dye used for blue jeans and one of the dyes used in black, doesn't sink into the molecules of the fabric but sits on top of them, and thus washes & rubs out of the fabric over time, slowly but surely. The points that get the most wear & rubbing will fade the fastest. Spin cycles certainly do count as wear!Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0
