Sony DAV-DZ260 Cinema System - how do i select optical device ??

i have just got the Sony DAV-DZ260 - 5.1 ch - DVD Home Cinema System how do i select optical so i can hear sound from my xbox 360 which is connected to the optical port, i can not see how to select it on the remote , many thanks

Hi,
Press the function button a few times on the remote until TV shows up on the front window on the Sony.

I don't have a Sony tv mine is a panny, but I had a quick look at the Sony manual online & it does not look like it has an optical output.

Hi Moneysaver , thank you all your help , am a little confused why tv needs to be selected on the front window of the sony in order to hear the sound from the optical port , or am i just been thick, thank u

Hi,
I am not sure on the technical side of things, but I think it is if you had a TV with an optical port you would connect it via the optical port on the Sony then select TV with the Sony remote. I also think that if you had your TV connected via the scart you would also select TV on the Sony.

But in your case you are connecting your Sky box via optical so it makes sense to select TV on the Sony.
