secret savings account

Don't want to get the wrong comments, but I want to start a savings account... just for me (which means my husband shouldn't know about it).
He doesn't usually looks at what statements come (I check them and file them), but still I wouldn't want any statements coming by post.
And I don't know how I will put the money in it.
But I hope someone on the forum has something like that I will get some ideas.
Thanks in advance.

  • There are plenty of organisations keen to save money on statements.

ING is one which will let you view statements online, but there will be many others.

Avoid building societies because they will send you AGM statements by law, although a few allow you to choose to have this done electronically.

Depending on the sums involved, perhaps consider an ISA so that you don't have to put it on a tax return and risk it being seen. If you have to claim certain benefits, however, this would still count towards joint assets.
  • i dont know how old you are but i would ask my parents to look after it

    Is that money laundering??!

Get any online savings account. I only got things through the post from ICICI at first when I was setting the account up, and they pay interest monthly at around 6.15% (?)

  • OK, I will look into e-savings to see what's what.
My parents aren't in UK so they can't help me with this.
    I am not into benefits.
I already have an ISA... with the husband knowing.

It's complicated but my parents sent me some money as a present to help me and I just want to have them for my self (if I want to buy something a little more expensive so I don't have to ask him). For him is the other way around: his parents don't work (lazy) and he keeps helping them with money.

I hope it makes some sense and really thaks for the money laundering answers... (sometimes I love this forum being very helpful... but sometimes you have to find persons who are having a joke of your posts).
