Hi everyone, and thanks for all the good wishes and clappy smilies! DD has been named Megan - mum and baby are still in the hospital until baby can prove that she breastfeeds properly (she starts well but then gets stage fright when the midwives are around!) but other than that they're doing fine. :j
She was born a lot smaller than we were expecting (6lbs 9oz, and she was four days past her due date), so I had to hotfoot it to the shops this morning to get some clothes to fit her! So that was the NSD out the window, but for a good reason. And we've now got a very healthy supply for her to grow into!

(I like the trophys)
Predictably another spend for me today - on lots of lovely fruit and veg - but I've got a yen for a scented candle. I like a few candles around the place and we've only got unscented ones left so I may treat myself.
(It might stop me buying chocolate which I have an almost constant yen for!)

P.S. Megan is a lovely name Bone Idle. Tell her from her Auntie Jacks not to mind the midwives and get stuck in!
P.P.S Welcome to the gang Trex! :wave:Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -

I lost a bit of momentum after my little trip to France and after that (came back on Tuesday) I've been really disorganised and have bought breakfasts and lunches. Today I must buy a friends engagement present and then tomorrow we are going out to celebrate it. I'm planning to have Sunday as an NSD. Still on 7/10 so should easily make it if I keep organised for the rest of the month.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

Congratulations Bone Idle! I'm still stuck on 6... not sure if I'm going to make it this month but I'll keep trying!
Hoping for one today if I'm lucky! x

Yeah first NSD day today but had a fab day. DS and I went to a playgroup with a friend and her DD. She paid as I paid to take the babies out last week. They spent an hour playing with lots of different toys and wearing themselves out and we all had drinks and biscuits provided. We then all went to the park and then popped to Tesco quickly as my friend had to pick up a few bits but I spent nop money hoorah - DS just had a fun time in the trolley!!
After lunch at home and a sleep for DS we went to another local park and then have spent the afternoon sticking and painting - a very messy concept with an 11 month old but while my kitchen was covered in paint and glitter he had a fab time and OH now has two new works of art for his new office!! DS then had a very long bath, tea and is now with his nighttime friends in the land of nod and I'm working on some proofreading, while OH watches some sport with a bottle of wine! As you can see once again I've been distracted by these forums!! So all in all it was a lovely day - it is so easy to have free fun with little ones.
HUGE CONGRATS to the boneidle family, my first little one was born a year ago on the 26th Oct - it is amazing how quick the first year has gone - tell your wife to keep up the good work breastfeeding - it is hard to start with took me about 3 weeks to get it down pact but then it was like second nature and I did it solely for 7 months and was completely gutted when my milk disappeared and i had to stop. It is the most wonerful way to bond with your little one and don't you worry that the dad gets left out you certainly don't my OH was in charge of most nappies and baths so that he always felt he had his own important role to play. He still does the tea, bath, story and bedtime routine every night bar 2 when he's out doing sports masage or football. TBH I love those two nights when I get to do it but I love that they have their own special thing together. Absolutely enjoy every minute of it it is the best thing you will ever do - I want loads now but my sensible budgeting head is telling me not another one just yet haha!
