  • Today is an NSD for me, I brought my lunch to work and alos in the money saving spirit I prepared 12 bacon butties for the team for £5.19 as opposed to us paying £2.50 each, now that is a saving. the cash come out of our monthly tea fund.

Feeling good today almost at my NSD target, may not make my mortgage overpayment but will by the middle of October so feel positive.

    Hi All,

Sat waiting for my plane home (4 hours to go!!!), using the v expensive hotel internet €1 for 10 min!!! - for those who do not know, I am in Magaluf, Majorca (otherwise known as hell on earth!!!)

Just to let you all know that I have missed the forum, and when I get home I will log on and read how everyone is doing - so I might be a bit out of touch with the gossip.

Take care, and I will post tomorrow

    • I haven't left the house all day so haven't spent any cash
    • Though did buy some things I needed on the web - got FREE delivery from www.choicestationery.co.uk instead of paying £9.99 with officestationery.co.uk -I was only spending £5.50 so certainly wasn't going to pay a tenner for delivery!
    • Cleaned my oven using elbow grease and cheap soda crystals instead of expensive cleaner
    • Fixed my washing machine myself (I think, I hope) using advice from the web so won't be facing a bill!
    • Did washing, cleaning, scrubbing til my arms and fingers ached - who needs a personal trainer!
    • Cooked a big meal in the slow cooker using reduced frozen mince I bought a while back - will freeze what remains into portions.
    • Defrosted my freezer so now it should run more efficiently and stop buzzing!
WHAT A DAY! Sigh! Surely time for bed! zzzzzzz:wave:

    Hi
Just thought I'd update myself and see how far I got.
I've also filed all of my papework and sorted a few small online banking issues. Although I have been charged £4 for being overdrawn by 4p for 8 days. I tried to plead with the telephone banking people but with no luck. Think I will change banks - I hate getting charged!!!!

    Good night all

I've managed quite a lot but always have loads to do.
