Surely you need to know how much you are using daily to work this out.

Without telling us your typical monthly consumption (or if you will be using heating) it is difficult to guess!

(Beaten to the draw, again. Stop popping off for a cup of coffee half way through writing a reply.)

Although, having said that, the EDF one certainly seems to be the best of those: £2.67 per 30 day month vs £9.60. It's a ha'penny dearer but the extra £7 standing charge means you'd have to use 1400 units per month before Scottish Power is cheaper.
  • sorry this is business contract and we use roughly 300 pounds per quater

Without telling us what your current tariff is telling us how much you spend doesn't help! :rotfl:

But as you're spending about £100 per month approximate your useage at 1,000 units per month. That'll make the arithmetic straightforward - 8.9p would cost £89, 9.4p would cost £94, 10.05p would cost £100.50. Your consumption is high enough that it should even out the differences in the standing charge.

You should also check prices without standing charges - the tier 2 costs can be quite low and benefit someone like you with a high consumption.

By the way, if you weren't able to work this out yourself in three minutes and the back of an envelope then WATCH YOUR BACK - your staff, suppliers and accountants are all swindling you!
  • Question (as I genuinely don't know): The ones with the min contract length, am I right in assuming these can be increased within that period and you STILL have to honour the contract or are these rates fixed for the duration?

Edit: And surely, unlike KY intimates, the standing charges mentioned are very different so should be included in the equation, which would make it:

    Scottish Power £98.92

    EDF £96.76

    Utility Warehouse £102.50

But, of course, as regular readers will testify, my maths is generally rubbish, lol.

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??

I'm not doing all the work. I left some steps for the readers to do themselves. And the monthly membership charge for the Warehouse is missed out.
