Hi Scottiedog, what an apt name
I have never made a dog bed myself (I have kitties) but there is a thread which discusses turning a single duvet into a dog bed, so you could apply the same principles
I'll leave the thread for now and merge them later, so you can see if anyone else has any other suggestions
Good luck

Hi, my doggie passed away in November I misser so much *sigh*but although I am a non sewer I made her quite a few bed dog beds with human duvets.
I folded the duvets over then over again ( sort of 4 thicknesses?) then I hand sewed the edges together to prevent it all going squiffy when she sat on it.
Then I made a "bag" by sewing up 3 sides of fabric and added "ties" to the open end bit (for easy washing).
I made her a cotton one for summer ( cool on her thin haired tummy) and a nice fleecy one that reflected her body heat back to her for the winter.
She LOVED her squishy dog beds and looked so adorable asleep on them!
I hope your doggie enjoys her duvets.0 -

Hi Guineapig - thanks for that - I like the idea of the fleecy cover for winter, I still have the 2 cream fleece blankets I bought from Asda for £1.77 (each) last year, I think I might use them as a cover and probably use popper studs - so I can remove the inside to wash the cover.
