washing machine rental help please

Quite a few years ago, whilst living in a student house, I rented a washing machine in my name.
The washing machine was never collected and I am still paying rental for the damn thing. Thing is, I have absolutely no way of getting the washing machine back - it's probably sitting in a tip somewhere as it was about 2001 we left the student house - I dread to think how much I've paid.
The rental is with Boxclever. Any ideas how to go about stopping the DDs?
Thanks

TBH I would just stop it. Don't know the legalities, did you ask then to collect it?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

Don't just stop the DD as you will get chased by debt collectors. Go into Boxclever and explain the situation. They may want a payment for you to 'buy' the machine but it will be peanuts. Or they will just write it off, they are an OK company and will have seen this situation before.0
