    Sorry to read about your redundancy, I have every sympathy with you having been put in the same position last year.

    I do know that various stores are recruiting for Christmas (it may be something in the short term), e.g. Poundland, Argos and the Royal Mail (no doubt various others too).

    Good luck with your interviews too.

    if you can afford it £15 or so try getting the following book from Amazon "what colour is my parachute" - a bit american but very sound advice about how to find the best way to get a new job, and to work out what a good job is for you.

    Sorry to hear your news.Check any loans/credit cards/Car HP/ tc you have to see if you have any kind of insurance which may offer redundancy cover.Wishing you all the best for the coming weeks.
