Room 2 - - - 2.39 Meters X 2.77 Meters 2.4M high (5 walls and ceiling - Bead and Skim.)

Hall and Landing walls and ceiling. Bead and Skim (landing average height house nothing scary)

Total cost £700

4 to 5 days work.

Is this fair?

Phil, you have a cracking price there my friend, i would bite his arm off if i we're you (well maybe not, as he has to plaster for you), but that is a really good price.

Not necessarily no, the guy may not have alot of work on etc..... not every cheap quote is done by a cowboy.

But if there is any doubt, get a couple of references to be sure.

Yep Job now done! He is just popping back tonight to put a bit of Architrave back around one door where he boxed some pipes in, up the hall way wall. We have always got him on a day rate of £130 + materials. Got him 3 other jobs from other people while he was there so I think he dropped it down to his £120 a day for us. He has never advertises always gets work through word of mouth and has loads of work on.
