backing up an IPOD

Options
hi
i have about 4500 songs on my IPOD. IPOD say i can make back up copies of the ipod onto CDRs, but does anyone know how many discs this will take? i am assuming that as it will be a data backup and not an audio file backup it will not be 300 (ish) CDS.... (otherwise there wouldn't be any point backing it up!!)

Any Ideas?

Cheers

  • Might be easier to use a DVD writer or buy a portable hard disk for backing up.

It's easier to know how much space you know if you look in itunes and find out how many GB of storage you're using. I'm gonna guess at about 20GB - so that'd be roughly 15 CDs, or 5 DVDs

  • If you use a dual-layer blank dvd that will hold nearly 8gb of music and could be cheaper.

If i remember correctly when i tried to use a dvd it kept asking for a cd. I could be wrong though.
