Mine was cancelled without signing in a branch.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

NatWest use chip and pin in branches no actual inked signature is required. Some banks do work differently.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

I think it varies on the bank and transaction.

One thing that makes the OPs request different is that it would not have been possible for the amendments to be made in one go. i.e. they could not amend the amount for one month and add a cancellation at the same time. The cancellation would have to be diarised manually and done after the amended payment was paid. (assuming the s/o system hasnt changed that much since I last did - albeit a long long time ago).

With the bank in question you can do both things together.
Firstly amend the S/O and confirm details on screen then go to cancel screen where the system asks whether you want next payment to be made before cancellation. In this case this seems not to have been accessed.
